A Commitment to Education
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl has made a strong commitment to helping Atlanta students further their secondary education. The Bowl’s Endowed Scholarship Program – operating since 2007 – is funded by additional $100,000 gifts to each university participating in the game that goes above and beyond the team payout.
In 2011, the program was expanded to include schools that compete for the $650,000 scholarship purse in the annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament. These donations are used to create endowed scholarships for Atlanta students attending college. All told, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Endowed Scholarship program currently operates endowments at 31 universities with scholarship assets totaling more than $6.3 million.
