ATLANTA (Dec. 22, 2017) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl teamed up to raise a total of $280,358 for the first-ever Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Touchdowns for Children’s fundraising campaign. College football fans collectively donated $140,179, which was matched by an additional $140,179 donation by the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl to bring the campaign total to $280,358.
Throughout the season, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl partnered to give college football fans the chance to support their teams and Children’s through a unique and competitive fundraising initiative. Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Touchdowns for Children’s encouraged alumni and fans to make pledges to Children’s based on how many touchdowns their college teams scored throughout the 12-game regular football season.
Similar to college football, fan bases competed against one another to earn the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Touchdowns for Children’s Cup and the chance to be recognized at the 50th Anniversary Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day.
In a competitive battle, Georgia Bulldog fans came out on top, raising a total of $54,739. Georgia Tech came in second place raising $51,774, while Clemson raised the third-highest amount at $7,411. All proceeds will go directly to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
