Avid college football fans will have the opportunity to pledge donations throughout the season
ATLANTA (Aug. 29, 2017) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl are joining hands to give college football fans the chance to support their teams and Children’s through a unique and competitive fundraising experience. Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Touchdowns for Children’s (T4C) will allow alumni and fans to make pledges to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta based on how many touchdowns their college teams’ score during the 12-game regular football season.
Participants will choose the school they’d like to support, select a fundraising goal if they desire and then rally their friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to join them. Similar to college football, T4C fan bases will compete against one another to earn the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl T4C Cup and be recognized at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day. The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will match the first $200,000 pledged, for a potential total of more than $400,000 that will go directly to Children’s.
“We’re honored to partner with Children’s on a unique initiative that rallies Atlanta’s passionate college football community together for such a meaningful cause,” said Gary Stokan, CEO and president of Peach Bowl, Inc. “The more touchdowns each fan’s team scores this season, the more donations we’ll raise for those children who need it the most. It’s truly a win-win for everyone involved.”
The campaign will make its primetime debut during the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Games on Labor Day weekend featuring Florida State vs. Alabama and Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech. Each school will have a Children’s patient super-fan representing them on the field, ranging from childhood cancer champions to Urgent Care Center regulars.
For more information, visit choa.org/t4c. The school that raises the most money will be recognized at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Signing up as a team rep allows you the chance to earn prizes like a T4C T-shirt, an autographed item signed by your favorite team’s coaches and Visa gift cards.
