The Road to the National Championship Comes Through Atlanta

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl has unveiled its Look of the Game for the 2016 season, a season which culminates with the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl hosting its first-ever College Football Playoff Semifinal.

The branding scheme is designed to bring to life the idea that “the road to the National Championship comes through Atlanta.” This season, every team in the country will share one goal: to play in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Thus, the road, which is embodied by the College Football Playoff’s iconic golden football, quite literally leads to the 2016 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, the final stop for two of the nation’s top four teams on their season-long quest to earn a spot in this year’s College Football Playoff National Championship.

The Look of the Game was designed by Blue Sky Agency, a leading Atlanta-based advertising agency. The season-long initiative will feature a number of visual, digital and multimedia elements.

The artwork prominently features the Georgia Dome, the home of the Chick-fil-A Peach bowl for the past 24 years, and the skyline of Atlanta, the proud host city of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. It was designed to reflect the look and feel of a national-scale event as this year’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will be the most significant college football game ever played in the city of Atlanta.

Atlanta is no stranger to hosting marquee football games on an annual basis. From decades of classic Chick-fil-A Peach Bowls on New Year’s Eve, to high-caliber matchups to open the season at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and memorable SEC Championship showdowns, the city has hosted some of the best games that will forever remain recorded in the history books. That said, no game to date has  carried the significance and national implications as this year’s College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

For Atlanta’s bowl game, this is the end of a long road and a mission to reach the pinnacle of college football. It’s a journey that started in 1968, and has resulted in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl joining the ranks of the most elite bowl games in the nation as New Year’s Six member selected to host the College Football Playoff.

Peach Bowl, Inc. and the city of Atlanta are excited to show fans from around the country how the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl sets the standard for bowl games and why Atlanta truly is the Capital of College Football.

Join us all season long as the road to the College Football Playoff National Championship winds from coast to coast and finally runs through Atlanta as we usher in a new year and a new era in Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl history.
